Bossons
Restoration and Preservation

This website is a short introduction to my preservation and restoration work of Bossons and Ivorex chalkware. I have put together a small portfolio so you can see a little of what I can do.

(This photo shows a Bossons 9th Lancer (eyes open) in the first stages of restoration, and the final result.)

I am able to provide high quality restoration work with Chalk, Pottery, Resin and some Plastics. I am situated in Manchester the north of England and have been collecting Bossons and Osborne Ivorex for a number of years.

Further into the website you can see another close up of the restored headgear.

Over this time as a Bossons and Ivorex collector, I have become well aware of how these delicate and valuable items are vulnerable to deterioration as they age, and subsequently I can provide preservation treatment so these unique works of art will last for many years more to come.
